DC continues the artist series teaming up with art culture visionary Aaron Rose. The artist, independent curator, and writer has been a visionary in the skateboarding/alternative art culture, helping shape its growth through influential projects like the Alleged Gallery and “Beautiful Losers: Contemporary Art & Street Culture”.
Rose’s Artist Projects shoe is inspired from his life’s influences and from the mod culture he discovered in his early teens. Available in classic brown and camel colorways, the low top shoe’s interior is lined with red and mustard plaid fabric and feature red and white designed insoles. Rose designed custom gum soles for the project that feature a repeating teardrop pattern with a single clear teardrop exposing a cork interior. Finished with red laces and stitching, the shoes are packaged in a custom shoe bag, along with a mini ‘zine and Rose designed box.
