Converse team up with American high-fashion menswear designer John Varvatos to give the Weapon Mid a reupholster. Incorporating scuffed turtle-dove and red leather into this classic silhouette gives it an American vintage feel – not all that surprising seeing as Varvatos did over a decade at the masters of all-Americana, Polo Ralph Lauren. Judging from the pictures just the right amount of 'distress' has been applied to the shoe, as though they've been worn a couple of times by a pump station attendant somewhere out on route 66.
