There seems to be a bit more pep in Converse’s step of late, with the brand reconnecting with its hardcourt heritage. Take for instance the new Star Player Evo (as in ‘evolution’), a remake of the classic 1970s Star Player worn by such greats as Julius ‘Dr. J’ Erving. Keeping things in line with the style of the original, the Evo maintains its simple appeal while still making significant tech upgrades, such as the addition of a breathable mesh upper and an EVA midsole. Neither over-flashy nor tacky, the Star Player Evo is available now in a stylish range of colours.
