Our jaws dropped when we first saw leather artisan Ryusaku Hiruma's hand crafted Converse sneakers back in SF Issue 19. Based in Florence, Hiruma has dedicated his life to mastering centuries of Italian footwear craftsmanship (read his amazing story in our feature interview.) Hiramu's latest project has seen him contribute to Converse's First String revival of the landmark Dr. J Pro Leather. With only 24 made this is by far one of the most collectible drops of 2011. Available September 9th at Converse First String retailers where they will retail for a cool $600. Save those pennies pilgrims!
