Converse have given us a sneak peek at their Fall 2010 Chuck Taylor All Star collection. While the plain black Chuck will keep on selling by the truckload till kingdom come, it’s good to see that Converse aren’t resting on their laurels. Their new season All Stars are choc full of colour and spunk, making a welcome change from the drab monotone moochers that seem to be crowding the canvas category these days. There’s a number of notable colabs in the mix: Woolrich chip in for a series of boots in warm Hunter plaid and woolen fabrics. Fashionista John Varvatos goes for all-out Americana with his stars and stripes design. The colourful Paint Brushstroke and Paint Swatch packs are part of the PRODUCT(RED) campaign against aids in Africa, while the streaky lines of Dr Suess are captured in a playful pack inspired by his beloved books. In addition to the colabs there's a number of slinky and shimmery models dedicated to the brand's enduring rock heritage. Look out for them all in the coming months.
