PRESS RELEASE
The adidas Originals STAR WARS™ collection in this spring/summer 2010 has hyped all the Star Wars fans around the town and CLOT has also participated in this exciting project with concept by our Creative Director Edison Chen and executed by ILLVISUAL @ www.illvisual.com with two sets. Firstly launch in March would be the alliance in HOTH, the HothSkateHigh shoes and Rebellion Athletics T-shirt, which are ode to the HOTH base in the first scene in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.
Hoth and Rebellion
The design of the HothSkateHigh matches the Rebellion attire which has a nice detailing with warm furry inner and nice stitching highlights on the shoe to match the jackets and vests of the Rebellions in HOTH. And with the detailing in rainbow holographic patch to futurize the shoe and the shoe tongues which shows the T-47 Airspeeder by the Rebellions, this could truly demonstrate the persistence and attention to details by Edison in design and not least, his love to this favourite Star Wars movie.
The Rebellion Athletics T-shirt’s concept comes with something out of the box, “What’s the outfit for the Star Wars characters wear in their Physical Education class?” From this, CLOT has developed the Rebellion Athletics T-shirt which resembles the uniform that Rebellion alliance in HOTH would wear while exercising. Other than the significant 3stripes of adidas, it has also embroidered the Rebellion’s logo in front and a flocky print of “Rebellion Athletics” at the back.
The HothSkateHigh shoes and Rebellion Athletics T-shirt are exclusively sold in JUICE in Asia and also Undefeated in LA, USA. Release date: 20th March, 2010.
