The Bobbito Air Force 1s will be available in three different colorways. The first is the wheat, bright cactus and beech, which hits shelves April 2007. Second is the aubergine, white lime and beech, which drops May 2007. The final one is pilgrim, ice blue and suede, which lands June 2007.

He goes by the name of Bobbito Garcia, but others know him as “Kool Bob Love” or “DJ Cucumberslice.” It seems he has as many arms as names, because this forty-year-old New York City native has his hands in a myriad of different projects. As a basketball player, Bobbito is a committed street baller who is either on the courts, writing about the courts or MCing an on-court battle every single day. As a world-renowned DJ, Bobbito co-hosted one of the most influential hip-hop radio programs, which routinely broke some of the biggest names in the business.

Bobbito Air Force 1:
Playing off his nickname of “Kool Bob Love,” these AF1s are all about showing love –love for the shoe and love for Bobbito’s passions. To emphasize that point the back tab on each shoe says LOVE in screened block letters. On one shoe, the O in LOVE is a basketball; on the other it’s a vinyl record. Another graphic celebrates his twin loves with one sneaker featuring a screened and embroidered hand atop a basketball, while on the other sneaker the hand is atop a record. The sockliner pays further homage to the two pillars of Bobbito’s life with a collage of basketball and music photographs taken at his New York City apartment. Supplying the perfect canvas for these graphic elements are premium leathers on the forefoot and back, and supple suede at the middle and back tab. The shoe is expertly finished with rounded edges throughout the upper for a polished look. All shoes come the way Bobbito would rock them himself – white laces, white midsoles and no dubrets. Of course, for those who want to change it up, alternate colored laces are included.
