The adidas REMIX line has been tallying up an impressive list of collaborators that continue to bring the b-ball to a wider demographic of street culture kids. From Lemar and Dauley to Mama, the shoes are put into a blender of technology, style and street to create a fusion line like no other. After Bryon Sheng, Senior Product Manager of the division left to hook up a partnership with streetwear giants UNDRCRWN, the marriage between the two brands remains as strong as ever.
The new collection is based on the adidas Basketball campaign, Command and Create. Within every team there are distinct player models. The power players and the perimeter play-makers who call the shots and run the floor. Within the adidas Basketball family, the Commanders are Kevin Garnett, Dwight Howard and Tim Duncan and the Creators are Tracy McGrady, Chauncey Billups and Gilbert Arenas. The series captures and celebrates the individuality of Commanders and Creators in a uniquely UNDRCRWN way. The NBA Champions trophy and ring, the two most coveted accolades received in the league, are used throughout the footwear series. Both are symbolic of the success achieved by Commanders and Creators. The three styles each offer a distinctive take on what a champion looks and feels like.
