WILHELM BUNGERT
Wilhelm Bungert is revisited as part of the Icons theme celebrating the careers of three German world-class athletes. In 1967 Bungert was the first German tennis player to make it the Wimbledon finals and this shoe is dedicated to his achievement. Reminiscent of the Superstar, this style features a rubber toecap designed to assist tennis players whose toes would drag on serves. Full grain leather uppers provide excellent support whilst the perforated sides and tongue allow for extra breathability. The sturdy textured sole and cap are both in artic white and provide excellent grip. Dual branding of oki-ni/Adidas is used on the tongue and innersole thus adding to the exclusivity of this sneaker. This style launches in late March 2006.

GAZELLE LASER & VINTAGE
First seen in 1968, the Gazelle was created as a general athletic training shoe and became renowned for its incredible cushioning. The Gazelle has been re-interpreted for oki-ni in two styles across four exclusive colour ways. Both styles use full grain leathers to replace the more common suede upper.

GAZELLE LAZER, uses a full grain leather for the upper with stitch details signifying the Three Stripes, plus an oki-ni laser cut detail in the outsole. Whereas the GAZELLE VINTAGE has an outsole, eye stag and Three Stripes all created from white suede. Each style has a rubberised sole tread featuring a circular forefoot wedge insert to relieve excessive pressure. Perfect for summer, these stylish all-purpose sneakers are available with dual branding in contrasting colours on the tongue and innersole heightening the exclusivity factor. Available in May 2006.

ROD LAVER
The Rod Laver was originally developed in 1970 in homage of 60s Australian tennis pro, Rodney George Laver. It was the pioneering shoe in professional tennis and worn by the best players, initially created from nylon mesh. This simplistic design coupled with full grain perforated leather in slim fit, gives this shoe a stylish preppy feel. Whilst the perforated leather allows for both durability and breathability. Dual branding oki-ni/Adidas is present on the tongue, innersole and underneath the specially designed transparent rubber sole. Available in three colour ways of electric blue, cream and navy these are ideal to compliment your summer wardrobe. This style will be available in June 2006.

SAFETY LO
This hybrid Stan Smith is transformed into a low Safety style with a Velcro fastening system. Introduced to oki-ni in this one exclusive colour way, the interpretation also features oil resistant soles with a vulcanized rubber outsole and reinforced toecaps. Dual oki-ni and Adidas branding is embossed on the shoe tongue with a printed in sole. The three perforated lines symbolising the Adidas’ Three Stripes are all in keeping with the simplicity of the Stan Smith original. Available in April 2006.
