The Adidas Oddity pack was introduced a couple of years back, with a concept truly ahead of its time, before the all over hoody print phenomenon, and clashing colourways. Now its back with the ZX series getting the oddity makeover!
The Oddity has been just that, an oddity to those that love or hate it. Some of the concepts behind this line of shoe have been hit or miss but the inclusion of the always popular ZX 800 LD makes us give this little banger the thumbs up. Looking like a aerobic clad neon space shoe, the combination of leathers, waffle nylon and breathable perforation, this is a definite must have for those nights in the club where you want everyone to know your business!
The ZX 700 is one of adidas’ better ZX shoes, its just a shame the colours don’t match the pop of the shoe. Don’t get us wrong, the combination of the palette does seem to work well together, its just, what would you match this shoe with? That always a big question for us here, and the mixture of eggplant purple with pistachio green and banana stripes, not to mention the musky pink midsole leads us to believe, that maybe less is more with this little oddity.
But saving the best til last is this fantastic little popper, with its shiny violet toe box and bright red accents. The ZX 500 is working it, like a glass of water, showing us that you can mix pastels with bright banging panels…..not all the time, but in this case, it can be done! Peep the sole too.
