DAVID BECKHAM X JAMES BOND (ADIDAS)

David Beckham’s adidas ObyO collaboration with UNDFTD’s James Bond was one of the surprise hits of 2009. In 2010, these two power players are teaming up again for what shapes to be another fresh yet carefully understated collection. More than a fly-by-night colab cash-in, the Beckham ObyO range has all the poise of a fully-fledged label. Plenty of brands have recently had a crack at the classic boat shoe silhouette, but this effort smacks of pure class. Elegantly streamlined thanks to the ribbed suede wraparound heel and the tanned leather trim skirting the midsole, this is a perfectly balanced fashion boot for those seeking something a little smarter and more nimble than the run-of-the-mill chukka. The accompanying apparel range is equally clean-cut with an emphasis on no-frills wearability. Look out for the collection come spring/summer.
