Lucky March 13 marks the release of Nike SB's first venture into the wild world of Flywire. Incorporated to offer a Nike skate shoe superior lockdown, extra stability and an overall reduction in weight; the Zoom Omar Salazar SB has been custom designed for Californian native, Omar Salazar aka Outer space.
After officially joining the Nike SB team in 2005, Salazar's first signature joint comes complete with a one piece toe construction; Flywire strengthening; a hidden tongue pocket; ribbed collar; hidden pull tab window; midsole Zoom air bag and custom tread cupsole. This latest addition to the Nike family is truly outta this world and shines like a lightsaber. As Omar Salazar himself stated, "I wanted a shoe that had a classic look and feel but also included Nike's technology and DNA." To honour the shoe's release, Nike rounded up Jon Humphries and Jason Hernandez to create a super stylish online video that has to be seen to be believed.
