Frank at Qubic didn't have enough time to catch some 'zzzz's' from the launch last week of the new Quarters Boutique, to release the highly anticipated Jeff Staple x New Balance Pigeon. As always, we let Frank do the talking as he explains "It's 1:40am here and we're beat. Here are some pics from the camp-out for the NB X Staple Pigeon today, it was pretty funny - it's been a very long time since people camped out for sneakers here."
Our first guy Joe rocked up at 10:30am today morning to wait in line for his size at the midnight launch. We pretty much filled all the spots for our allocation (12 pairs, nuts) by 3:30pm, and had to start turning away people who wanted to line up for the shoes too.
So, presenting Mr. Joe Chen, the first person in the world on 06/08/08 to official pick up the NB X Staple Pigeon 575 Trail today. Just look at the expression on his face. I'm not sure if it's just sheer excitement or delirium from mild hypothermia as it's fuggin' frreeeeezzzing here at the moment. Joe ended up lining 13.5 hours for the shoes to secure the only US10.5 in the country, mad love for Pigeons."
