BILLIE STONE - L.A. EXHIBITION

Billie Stone is an amazingly talented Australian artist living it up in the gully streets of West Hollywood and after hustling her time around Melbourne and Adelaide with her Chicano and Hip Hop Inspired art work, she is now proud to present her debut exhibition at the famed Han Cholo Gallery.

Sneaker Freaker were lucky enough to catch onto the female phenomenon that is Billie Stone way back in the day with her artwork adorning the pages of Issue 2 and also our Sneaker Freaker Book. Just to give you an idea of her painstaking efforts to bring her art work to life, for one piece Bill$ stretched leather over a canvas and proceeded to stitch and re-create the Toucher Than Leather Run DMC album art work. It was eventually snapped up for an undisclosed 4 figure number while Bill$ was holidaying overseas.

BILLIE STONE - L.A. EXHIBITION

All of her exhibitions in Australia were sell out hits, with not one piece left hanging on the walls. Bill$ is a massive sneaker head and Hip Hop lover who is constantly inspired by the great MC’s in the game, and the lifestyle that comes along with the culture, whether it be guns, weed, 40 ounces or grillz. It was a natural transition for her to migrate to L.A. where she is now living the life that she portrays in her artwork. It is a massive honour for us at Sneaker Freaker to see her becoming recognised internationally.
If you are in L.A. or anywhere near the concrete streets of Echo Park, make sure you hit up this exciting exhibition, where there will no doubt be tributes to Biggie, Tupac and Wu-Tang amongst many others, as Billie Stone presents “Hand Painted Flags ‘n Shit”
