While many basketballers have had their own signature sneakers, Patrick Ewing went the next step, becoming the first player to ever have his own brand. The first Ewing Athletics model, The Rebound, was worn on court by Patrick in 1989. While the 33 HI would be Ewing Athletics' most iconic silhouette, the brand produced many basketball shoes as well as cross-training and hiking models. Ewing Athletics folded in 1996, with The Empire their last ever release. In 2012 the brand has been revived with plans to retro the long-lost Ewing sneaker archive.
