I love the Jordan III and IV as much as the next head, but when it comes down to it the Air Jordan V is the be all and end all of the Air Jordan range. Released in 1990 I was still in toddler sizes when this piece of sneaker perfection hit the market. That however doesn't alter my love for them to this day.

Let's break down the style of this shoe:
- This high cute that just swerves around the top of the foot with padding that just blows out from your ankles

- The individual tongue shape, which is in some of the best cases reflective and just throws that jump man symbol into the face of on lookers

- The lace locks. A key piece to this Jordan. Why Tinker decided to add that extra part and not go with just a toggle is beyond me but damn does it work. It's unique to this shoe and adds to the overall coolness it oozes.

- The side panels. I don't know if it's the shape of these things or how icey they make the side look but it's unbeatable. Sure the Jordan IV had a dope panel but look at how much cooler they did it one year later. Not to mention its appearance on the tongue under the laces. Insane!

- The plastic lace sections, certainly not a main part to most but definitely shouldn't be overlooked. When laced for casual wearing these parts are crucial in making sure your lace job helps to widen the look of the shoe and make it look even chunkier and assertive than it already does.

- The air unit. When I was younger I was under the impression all good shoes have a visible air unit. Now my tastes have changed this isn't necessarily the casee¦ but it does still help. After all these years I still cant get over catching a side profile of my shoes in a mirror and being able to see straight through the mid-sole, its pure awesomeness personified (or is that sneakeronified?)

- The shark teeth. How cool are these things. The little boy inside all of us is instantly amazed at the fighter jet inspired teeth. This shoe is ready for war!

- The ice sole. Like visible air units this stuff can complete a shoe and take it to that next level. While we're on the sole, turn these things over and check it out. Underneath the ice, frozen away like it's just to powerful to let loose is a big bold jump man symbol. And on the non ice parts? The big bold NIKE lettering that every kid loved having on his t-shirt (and in some cases the man him self's last name, simple bold capital JORDAN let's you know it's official)

Yes it's safe to say I don't just love the Jordan V, I love every inch of these things!
