(Sports Network) - Two clubs battling for position in the Western Conference standings collide tonight, as the Calgary Flames host the San Jose Sharks at Pengrowth Saddledome. While the Sharks are already locked into a playoff spot as Pacific Division champions, the Flames are getting closer to securing their fifth straight postseason berth. Jody Shelley and Tom Cavanagh scored 2:04 apart in the second period for the Sharks, and Joe Pavelski recorded the game-winning goal early in the third frame. Devin Setoguchi registered two assists, giving him five goals and five helpers over a six-game point streak, and Evgeni Nabokov made 25 saves for the Sharks, who were coming off back-to-back road losses and are 18-12-7 as the guest this season. The Sharks did lose leading goal-scorer Patrick Marleau to a lower-body injury in the win. Marleau has 37 goals on the season and is questionable for tonights game, as are Jonathan Cheechoo and Rob Blake due to lower-body ailments.
