LOADED - NEW ZEALAND

Loaded is to New Zealand’s sneaker culture what Grandmaster Flash is to Hip Hop. They were the first to put stores dedicated to sneakers on the map for NZ and command respect from all the followers, merely by continuing to stay on top of their game and ahead of the race. We caught up with the whole gang from Loaded Wellington and Loaded Auckland to give us the dirt on the NZ scene and give you an exclusive look into why "Just like Wu-Tang… Loaded is for the children."

ASAFA POWELL INTERVIEW

Having held the world record as the fastest 100 metre sprinter for three years running (pun intended), Jamaican born crazy legs, Asafa Powell is looking to smash a new time in Beijing. With the help of Nike’s new Zoom Aerofly sneakers there is a strong possibility we will be watching Powell in a ‘blink and you'll miss’ dash for gold. Courtesy of Nike, we were incredibly lucky to grab a minute from the 9.74 second king as he explains Nike’s new technology, his penchant for wild colours and syking out his competitors!

SNEAKERSNSTUFF INTERVIEW

If any store was going to be crowned king of colabs, the title would hands down go to Swedish duo Erik and Peter at Sneakersnstuff. Coming into their diamond anniversary this year, celebrating a decade of trade, there will no doubt be a sneaker to commemorate the occasion. Before the guys get there though, they have made time to drop Round 3 of their New Balance 577 collaboration. Once again Peter and Erik choose a shoe each, lacing their own individual golden touch to create two very distinct yet contrasting sneakers. We caught up with Peter to get the inside scoop.
