Hey all---
I want to add more durability to my custom shoes. I find that my current use of all-surface acrylic paints and sealers are… well—laughable in terms of durability. They show small cracks at a moment’s notice, totally incapable of holding up to the flexing movement of walking in the shoes.
(As a woman, I focus on chick shoes, and the flats move and flex a hellovalot more than sneakers.)
I’m considering trying Angelus Paints. However, not all of the shoes that I go to paint are necessarily real leather. Will Angelus paint adhere to pleather or other synthetic materials?
If Angelus paints can’t adhere, would you recommend the use of the Angelus sealer over the acrylic paint to add durability?
Any advice would be much appreciated!
Help me Sneaker Freakers, you're my only hope.

Well, I basically figured shit out on my own.
So, in case anyone googles a similar question and finds this---
Not sure whether Angelus paints can be used on synthetic materials still, but I added Golden GAC 900 Fabric Medium to my acrylic paints (1 part fabric medium, 1 part acrylic paint) and it gave my paint the dried flexibility and durability it needed to withstand the bending and flexing of ballet flat shoes.
Cheers.
