New here! And need help!

Hey guys,

I'm a newb here but my membership was partially provoked out of my love for attractive shoes and recent knee/lower leg pain.

Recently I got mad sore knees and lower leg pain from knocking around in these loose, flat old Vans I've always worn, but I love them. The doctor tells me I need to find a more supportive shoe.

So here's my question; do you guys know of any sneakers which have arch support, some shock absorption and are at the same time attractive/casual enough to be worn for just walking?

I kind of like the New Balance M754s in brown but I'm not 100% sure whether they'll be supportive or not.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

new balance 2040 for the win smile

the 754 would be better than vans, probably, but to be honest not of the retro range will really be that supportive. If you are really having issues, you would be better off buying a modern shoe

Welcome to the forum bro

I have the same issue! It might be worth your money to go and see a podiatrist - especially if you have private health cover! Try and get some orthotics, I used to have really bad pains in my knees and lower legs, but orthotics fixed it all up for me! If you're in Perth theres a really good podiatrist I can suggest for you (just PM me)

Good luck mate

Re: New here! And need help!

Thanks, mik_git. I've got the 2040 up on Amazon. It's alright but it's not completely my style.

Thanks, tjay03 for the advice! I'm quite frustrated because I don't have private health insurance and I'm at University, so I can't really afford a casual appointment with a Podiatrist at the moment. If my condition worsens I may have to re-evaluate that strategy though.
