I want to buy new sneakers but unable to decide which ones, I want sneakers with which I can:
(1) Run
(2) Walk for around 2 KM at a stretch.
(3) fight
Will high-top shoes fit that category or other simple sneakers ? Cna you name some specific category of sneakers which will fit above needs of mine ?
NOTE: I don't want sneakers with any amount of leather/suede in them. I don't use leather. I don't like to kill innocent animals for my enjoyment.

Yeh a cross trainer seems to be what you're after. I've got the Nike Vomero's and I like them for running, but not sure what they'd be like to fight in lol

Fighting shoes?? Like something you'd wear in a boxing ring? I saw a dude rocking Terminators in an amateur fight recently which was pretty lol
Pretty unlikely you will find something that ticks all the boxes though.
X-Trainers are horrible to run in, ok for sports but I reckon you are better off having one pair for running and walking and an alternate pair for when you're in the fight mode...

What high-top shoes are for, e.g. shoes like Adidas-Nizza-Hi, Chuck_Taylor_All-Stars, Puma---Unlimited-High, Nike-Dunk-Hi are not designed for running and walking long lengths ?
Are Running Shoes are only for running but not for walking or traveling in buses (in India, Buses are heavily crowded and someone running over your toe with his shoe is pretty common).
I have converse shoes but they lasted only for 1 month with the way I use them according to 3 needs I mentioned in my (OP) original post.

high tops... well you can, but there not so good for that, heavy and designed to help with lateral side to side movement and stopping and ankle support not general running.
running shoes are fine for running and walking.. and i'm sure you could fight in them, but there not designed for that...
a cross trainer doesn't do anything well, but does everything OK, you can run in them, walk in them i guess fight, they have cushioning and support.
thing is, if you use 1 shoe for all those things, every day, its not going to last long no matter waht you buy...

Dude, if you're fighting in them you probably need leather, blood doesn't come off mesh very well. Get some Trainer SC or similar, or a trainer 1. Or get some running shoes and some Grecos, or some asics wrestling shoes. But always remember, only prey runs.....

what type or fighting is it, like in a ring, or some street rawkus, indias rough, i saw this dude next to my grandmas place getting the kicked shit out of him becuase he tried to steal the neighbours fridge or somethin.
but like mik said, any cross trainer will do.. to be honest... 2km's isn't far to walk, any simple runner will do, like from asics or where ever. when i'm sparring etc i prefer to go barefoot, so we probs need to know more about what type of fighting you do. high tops are no good to run in as well.. so stay away from them

No, no ring, only if someone want to fight with me on street, road etc. BTW, I never get involved in a fight, I try to avoid it and it works but you know some guys are total a**holes.
India's rough and Indian roads are rough too. Some are broken, a fine percentage is incomplete (like raw and sharp rocks spreading all over the road), some are full of mud running over them. Walking and running on such rough roads require some special attention, especially when it comes to fight at such places.

I practice punching and kicking barefoot. Sometimes, to be realistic, I do wear shoes to learn to kick (in the air, not on the bag). Regarding walking, i measured the average distance I use to walk, it comes to 5 KM actually and unlike others I walk little faster.
I just want to to know the type of the shoes, not the expansive brand names like NIKE, Adidas, Lotto, Reebok, they are too expansive to be bought, at least for me.

Just curious what part of india you from?
Roads like you speak of, no running shoe would last long, need some heavy duty boots with steel caps/souls. Maybe some nike acg footwear would suffice for a bit or footwear along those lines.

these rock! suitable for running and jumping and swimming (and fighting too i expect
).
the sole on the most recent version is different to the original, but the price has dropped down to $360AU (for the six inch boot, not the high) as well. However if our indian friend can't afford nike/reebok/adidas he prob won't like oakleys either.

Hey.. hey..... nice joke on me
. Anyway, Indians roads are a mix of very fine and broken and some full of water roads in cities. I live in Hyderabad, so I see them every weekend whenever I go for an outing. The only roads which are great are the Fly-Overs ones, they never ever break. I have found none so far. In towns, roads are full or half made + broken + fine ones, in villages there are no roads, well sometimes there are.
I don't need steel caps or those Oakley shoes. I think I like Nike ACG, what are they for anyway ?
and what about the Hiking shoes, can they be used for normal walking on the roads, comfortably ?

ACG = All Conditions Gear. It's basically nike's offroad/hiking/wetweather stuff.
i think this topic's moved to the high top thread, but the mowabb's someones suggesting are possibly a good choice for your requirements. there is some ankle support at least, and they're pretty water resistant.
