My First Customise Sneakers!

Hi All! This is my first customise sneakers!
All comments are welcome!

[img]http://img1.yoxio.com/img/258452.jpg

The material i use is velvet kind of material.

By the way,can any kind soul help me by telling me why the ink or paint on my sneakers never seems to dry after a week? It has a sticky touch even after a week.
Can anyone solve this problem?
I am still a newbie in customise sneakers.

Thanks.

Nice kicks man, loving the zebra tails!

Did you glue the flock/felt on to the leather surface or completely rebuild the shoe

you get a big thumbs up from me anyway clever idea and nice execution of the theme smile

Thanks whatsthatsound? for your encouragement. Yes, I use felt with double sided tape on one side. It comes with double-sided tape when i bought it. As for the tail,I use a fake fur and glue on it.

Your talked about the paint not drying.
what paint are you using to do the shoes?
Leather paint takes no time at all to dry.
and did you do the acetone prep before you got down on them?
Look good by the way. The tail is a bit much but it adds a hint of flair at the same time.

nice idea with adding the fluff on the end of the zebra superstars. reminds me of the puma penguins in a way.  i think the china mask one is a bit too overwhelming in design. something more subtle would have been nice. but good work! icon_mrgreen

I am  gonna trying out to do some chinese knots for the sneakers instead of the conventional shoelace.

Re: My First Customise Sneakers!

Hi thabigmike, there you go! I had a hard time trying to figure out how to tie those knots and I also search the web and trying to follow the instructions.
These are knots on those chinese custume. We call it the 'Cheong Sum'
And they are actually have the same theory like buttons on our shirt. So actually i call it the chinese buttons. Lol!

And here's one of the link for the knots. There are afew links if you google search under 'chinese knots'
