Re: Sneakering in Bangkok n other stuff

on my way back from my summer trip to bangkok, and im transiting in seoul so i thought i id make some quick updates.

- i found a new balance flagship store in central world (ask any info desk and theyll give exact directions). lots of things in stock, im no NB head but they had pretty much every talked about release from the last year or so (including a white pair of those embroidered dragon kicks).
- further more i got into that apointment only consignment store in MBK (was just walking by at the right moment), in terms of clothes they had mostly vintage/on of type stuff hanging around, nothing i was really familiar with and most of the kicks they stock are in a size 10us, i did pick up a nice supreme new era though. the guy who was in charge (who apparently runs something called "project banklyn" although what that is im not quite sure yet) was super freindly, showed me some sketches futura did for him and his tattoos that futura also designed for him.
-the rip curl store in center mall (in between paragon and discovery) no longer stocks stussy or zoo york, but you can still find them both in a new store on the top floor of the same mall next to the food court.
-in the department stores of paragon and central world you can also find full collections of stussy, zoo york, and volcom. and "yeah!" has a corner in the department store of paragon as well, which stocks mostly skate brands like DC, but also the odd LRG, Obey, and even a little bit of artful dodger.

ill add anything i forgot as well as drop some new proddy picks when i get back home

-manga by playground and playground will both also be closing as of next month

not huge enough i guess. it is quite big and still growing, but its still a relatively young phenomenon over there (in terms of larger scales), like in many places

playground was huge and kinda expensive, so i assume it just collapsed in on itself. i was surprised the scene was big enough to spawn something of that size in the first place. and modified closed shop due to greedy partners. i dont think it was open for much more than a year before it closed. (if it is indeed closed) good thing i got my share of futura proddy before it did though wink
