Wallabees, Desert Boots, Wu Tang and millions of geography teachers are what come to mind when we think of Clarks. Founded in 1825 by brothers Cyrus and James, Clarks has defined the smart-casual niche for two hundred years now. Fast forward to 2014 and it’s apparent the brand is undergoing a systematic reinvigoration. Colabs with the likes of Foot Patrol, Hanon, KITH, atmos and Staple have added a fresh, contemporary skew to their portfolio. Bringing the future to the fore is Prad Indrakumar. Busily digging in the company crates for inspiration, Prad’s latest project is a pair of shoes under the Trigenic banner. It’s an ambitious slice of shoe design that merges the past with the present, coalescing into an inventive and idiosyncratic statement.
