“It’s the funniest thing, to just see a whole bunch of kids, urban kids walking around with Clyde sneakers and at any given point, everybody would pull out their brush. And once somebody started, it was like a chain reaction. You know, it’s like taking a prize poodle to the show, you gotta keep them groomed, you know what I mean. It was a whole ritual, not just wearing the sneaker, there was a whole ritual that went along with the sneaker.”
