VINTAGE SNEAKER VAULT UNCOVERED!

At one stage I thought to myself, wait a minute, I haven’t spotted any Uptowns, but within seconds I’ve peeked behind a bank of Mowabb’s [In that recycled box] and there they are, a pristine pair of Canvas White Air Force Ones with Black trim. This is heaven. I locate a wall of really old Chuck Taylors too, sadly some of these have seen better days - remember kids, these are perishable goods, glue doesn’t stick forever!

At virtually every turn is something of note, Nike Air Accelerator in Night Purple and Black [an exquisite shoe for balling, I remember, I had ‘em first time round], a selection of Hi-Top Fila FX100 in a variety of colors as well as several colors of Air Bounds. Black and Orange Air Max BWs, a few women’s Pegasus and Air Mad Max with Purple trim hold our collective attention span for just long enough until another unearthing occurs, some O.G. Air Raids. “The straps!” Rixx hollers again. “This is too much!!”

I stumble upon some Air Flite Mids in Laker’s colors from ’91 [worn originally by Cedric Ceballos], then in Navy and Red I find the same design in a High. There’s a small stash of ‘Big Window’ designs from the late eighties and early nineties; I uncover a pile of unblemished and almost faultless White and Fluro trimmed Duellist PR, several Infrastructure Plus and Air Huaraches in a plethora of colors and models as well as one solitary O.G. pair of Air 180s [That were delicately handled like a new born baby].

Black Magnum Force, Air Escape in Black or Green Leather, Agassi’s, Air Uptempo, Nike Baby Sport and literally hundreds more designs have been in this basement since they were purchased not long after the store opened in 1991. Either that or they were picked up at bankruptcy auctions across the US during the mid to late Eighties. All the stock along the way being purchased from a reputable source each time, no variants on these shelves !!!
