
Intended as the macho step-brother to the Freestyle, the Ex-O-Fit was released in 1983. Whilst aerobics was trending hotter than life on Jupiter, the concept of performing the ‘weave-step’ in full-body lycra was still a fraction too girly-girly for hairy-chested health nuts in the early ‘80s. Hence the creation of a more general ‘Fitness’ line for men, with the fledgling Ex-O-Fit one of the first ‘five-shoes-in-one’ models to hit the shelves in sports stores.
