1. In goal I’m going for Joe Pendleton in Heaven Can Wait. A quarter back for the Los Angeles Rams, with great ball handling skills, though may strugglee with goal kicks. Julie Christie as a potential WAG wins him the vote over Professor Dave Jennings from Animal House.

2. Right back will be Josef Mengela in Boys From Brazil. The epitomy of evil, Dr. Mengela would strike fear into any tricky winger.

3. Left back will be Damien Thorn from Omen II, again, the son of Satan is not to be triffled with, plus he’s got young possibly hoofed legs.

4. First part of the centre half partnership will be the power house that is John ‘Bluto’ Blutarsky, possibly in a Toga, I haven’t decided yet.

5. For the other centre half, I’m going for the young and pacey Danny Zuko from Grease, any-one who tries to strut past Danny will probably get a bunch of fives or dragged into an over the top dance routine.

6. I’m playing two wingers for this tournemant and on the right I’m going for Dr. Chauncey Gump from California Suite. Not only is the boy a doctor, he’s also the funniest mo’fo who ever lived.

7. The left wing slot will be filled by the mecurial Jack Bellicec from Invasion of The Body Snacthers, I toyed with the idea of playing Luke Martin from Coming Home, but Bellicec gives us the balance.
