DQM: At least 50k. The more the better though. Just make your budget work.
Premium Goods: Most of the money will to go towards rent.
Motive807: For startup money, I would suggest at least 125-150k. You have to figure the cost of fixing up the place to your liking, at least one year’s rent, purchasing inventory, office equipment and so on. All that stuff adds up fast. Loans are fine, just make sure you shop around for a reasonable rate.
Goliath: It all depends on size, products, utilities, software, renovation etc. It is very costly to carry exclusive sneakers and there is a formula based on space that you have to follow once you figure it out. But, I would say 200k minimum because you have to live.
ClassicKicks: It totally depends on location - Kentucky is cheaper than NYC. It’s good to have extra just in case things go wrong. If you don’t have a background in buying, you should at least know the sneakers market and the culture.
Alife Rivington: You don’t need much to build a shop, but inventory gets costly because
you need size runs of styles. At this point in the game, I think it is more about the connections that you have with the brands. There are so many sneaker boutiques popping up and only so much Limited Edition product.
