IT LOOKS A LITTLE TRADITIONAL TO ME, LIKE IT ALREADY EXISTED BEFORE.
It did exist. It was a modern, tongue-in- cheek, interpretation of an Eskimo Mukluc.

THE ORIGINAL LOW-TOP STILL LOOKS RADICAL. DO YOU AGREE?
I still like them. There’s still nothing outthere that looks like them. Others have tried to mimic them but they always end up looking like foot turds, torpedos or elf shoes. It’s funny how luck, persistence, and collaboration can often lead to the creation of some of the best stuff. Take either Tori or me out of the picture and the original Moc wouldn’t look the way it does.

I WAS A BIG FAN OF CONSIDERED. IN SOME WAYS IT WAS A SHAME THEY KILLED THE PROJECT IN ITS OWN RIGHT BY MORPHING IT INTO ACG.
Actually, Considered is still alive and well. ACG still incorporates Considered thinking into everything they do and all of Nike has been making huge strides towards making cleaner products. We’re still working on some very cool Considered stuff. Considered shoes don’t always have to have a ‘hippie/granola’ aesthetic to them... even though I like that aesthetic.

Probably the most Considered shoe Nike makes is a one-piece, injected urethane sandal. It’s all one material. That material can easily be recycled with minimal use of power or new resources. Sure, it’s a petroleum based product but compare the overall use of energy, materials and transport to a leather product... You discover the impact on the planet from raising, feeding, watering, grazing, farting and transporting a cow from birth to death is huge. Making a Considered product is not as easy as you might think. It makes the whole process of shoe design way more interesting and fun though.
