WITH THE MOC ON THE VERGE OF A LONG AWAITED RE-RELEASE, WE WERE RECENTLY INTRODUCED TO STEVE MCDONALD – UTAH NATIVE, ACE CANYONEER, AWARD-WINNING PRODUCT DESIGNER AND LONG TERM MEMBER OF THE NIKE KITCHEN. STEVE HAS CONTRIBUTED HIS BRAIN POWER TO A STACK OF SHOES INCLUDING THE ENTIRE ORIGINAL CONSIDERED SERIES, FREE TRAIL, AIR REVADERCI, CONSIDERED HUMARA, AIR VULGARIAN, WILDEDGE GORETEX AND THE NEVER BEFORE SEEN AND UNRELEASED, CONVERTIBLE DUNK.

YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT MOUNTAIN MEN – THEY LOVE MOUNTAIN SHOES MORE THAN THEY LOVE MOUNTAIN WOMEN!

HEY STEVE, ARE YOU STILL IN THE MOUNTAINS?
Yep. I’m still living near Park City, Utah. I like it here because of all the fun the mountains and southern desert provide.

SO TELL US ABOUT YOUR CAREER AT NIKE. YOU’RE STILL DOWN THERE IN SOME WAY RIGHT?
Yes, I still work with the Nike Innovation Kitchen exclusively but I’m not an employee. Best job I ever had! There’s some amazing talent in the Kitchen and everyone in there is cool and great to work with. I’m not too skilled with corporate politics so Nike (actually, Tinker Hatfield) has been kind enough to let me live where I want... as long as I continue to do good stuff. The details of my career at Nike are too long and boring. If you care to check it out I’ve also attached a resume.
