We arrived at the Pan Am Lounge (ex Pan Am hostees and VIP hangout in the 60s) completely unsure of the response we'd get in Berlin.. The sneaker scene here is thriving but had they heard of Melbourne based Sneaker Freaker?!
Either all the freaks knew of Solebox or Hikmet from Solebox knew them all because to our relief a great crowd turned up and the event was a great success!
New Balance generously kept the open bar running all night and heartily padded out the goodie bags with NB gear you don't normally get your hands on! Many thanks to the team an Michael from NB Germany whom with Solebox made this all possible..
There was a great mix of crew from the core brands, the lairy lads from Lacoste even flew over to push the bar tab that extra mile! The Pan Am uniformed waitresses deftly made sure no glass was empty, no ashtray full and no man lonely!
Local press made an appearance too, even that reality TV network came.. MTV?
Thank you to all the retailers who have supported us in the past and have spread the good word till now, it was great to meet you all and we hope to be back soon!
