LUXURY SNEAKERS!

Prada
, with its now iconic Sport collection, was the very first brand to put one foot into the sneaker game. Sneakers with a yachting influence were released in the early part of the century and soon became instantly recognisable thanks to the red tab on the sneaker’s tongue. It was the very first pair to stoke interest in the sneakerhead’s hearts and gave them the impetus to go poking round luxury Italian shops looking for gems. Once again, sport was the link between the two markets. Back when they were first released, Prada sneakers were worth roughly as much as a pair of Air Jordans, approximately 150 to 200 dollars. Now prices have gone sky-high and the designs have become boring – too fat and too rough. Too bad, because in terms of legitimacy, Prada has a very strong hand.
