D.I.Y McFLY HANDMADE SNEAKERS

In your heart of hearts, do you think we'll ever see the real McCoy McFlys in 2015?
I don’t know, I guess we have to wait until then. If they do end up releasing them you can be sure they will be limited and almost impossible to get as well as being very expensive. I had a hard time just to get a pair of the Nike Hyperdunk McFlys so if they ever sell the real ones in 2015, I don’t know... but you can do the math!

How about the Hoverboard?
I already have the wood cut! I’m now also looking to get fabrics for the jacket Michael J Fox was wearing but that’s not an easy thing to do, I tell you.

So tell us more about your insane 500 strong vintage collection? Let’s cast your mind back, where did it all begin?
It started back in the ‘80s. I always liked sneakers especially high tops. I remember we went to a surf shop with my dad to buy a birthday present for my brother and it was there I saw a nice pair of Nike Vandal 1985. My dad told me I could have them, but only if I promised to take care of them. That’s how it all started. The good thing is, I still have that sneaker in my collection to this day!

How many years have you invested in creating this amazing museum of footwear?
Well it takes time to get a big collection like mine, and I have sneakers from about 1982 so that makes it about 26 years but I never thought it would get this big and crazy.
