Ha, maybe you're right. Had you had any prior experience in shoe making?
No, I don’t have any experience in building shoes. I mean, I’m a crazy sneaker collector and know a lot about sneakers. It’s my passion.
Did you kit your shoes out with the iconic flashing lights as well?
No, I don’t have any lights right now on the McFlys, but I’m thinking of putting lights on the Nike logo.
Are you satisfied with the result or do you think you will make another pair?
I’m very happy with them and the way they are made. This is as close as I can get to the movie sneakers. Of course you can see the difference between an original factory shoe and a self-made pair of sneakers but I’m more than ok with that.
What do you think Nike would say about your efforts?
Oh, good question. I’m not sure what Nike will say if and when they see my pair of Mc Flys but hey, Nike tells us ‘Just Do it’ and I say to them 'Hey, Mark just did it!' I know the shoe is a copy and not an original but I’m just a crazy fan and I’m never going to sell my McFly’s. There was only one ever made and they are only for me.
