Asics Gel Lyte III

I’ve never been a guy that just rocked one brand. Way back in highschool and even before that time I was interested in several sportsbrands. If a pair of trainers caught my eye because of a special feature, I had to have them. To tell you the truth, I can't even remember the names of most of these brands and models... Wait a minute, there is an article in this – let's continue this story in the next issue!
So back to the story, recently I got a great job at Asic.

From now on I am the Dutch sales rep for Onitsuka Tiger. Because of my job at Asics I found out about some really nice models. One of them is this amazing running shoe from the ‘90s named the Gel Lyte III, which Asics recently reissued. The split tongue, already written about in issue 8 just caught my eye. For me, 2006 was a bit boring, not much happened on the trainer tip (except for Puma releasing the Yo! MTV Raps Clyde) so the release of the Gel Lyte III in the Netherlands was an exciting thing.

I simply love the design on this trainer and the way Asics worked with so many different materials and layers on this shoe. I want to see some new colour ways, new materials and surprising features. Let's hope in the future Asics will experiment with the Gel Lyte III and until that time I will be patient and just rock the existing colour ways!
