Amongst the sea of swooshes, stripes, pikes and stars, a certain classic stood out as my pick for 2006.
Vans has cemented its reputation as an edgy, fashion-forward sneaker maker that continues to seek reinvention of its classic lines. For me, it was the marriage of two heritage companies to come up with a particular VAULT release - the Vans x Hoffman Sk8 Highs.

I’ve always been into vintage furniture and fabrics, so when Vans decided to pay tribute to this 82 year old company renowned for its vintage fabrics, I knew this was the shoe for me.

The cream midsole adds to its vintage appeal and complements the aged look of the fabric. There’s been no hype on this shoe for sure and I wanted them so badly I've squeezed my feet into samples cos they didn't make them in my size!
