2011 - BEST OF THE BEST SNEAKERS
NEW BALANCE
2011 was the year I wore grey color New Balances a lot. Within the New Balance series, I especially like the 1300, 1400, 1500, 1700, 999, 998, 996 and I only own them in grey color, nothing else. Even with just grey, there are so many variations and tones of greys that I am always impressed, and this is perhaps the best reason I like it.
When I design clothes, I even think about how to coordinate them with New Balance sneakers, and there were actually some items released which perfectly matched the shoes.
Besides NB, the adidas Superstar I designed together with Edison Chan was also impactful this year. Though it may not be a genre of sneaker, I also liked and wore Mark McNairy’s shoes a lot this year.
