2010 - BEST OF THE BEST SNEAKERS
NIKE AIR PRESSURE
My favourite buy in 2010 was this pair of Nike Air Pressures, because it wasn’t the regular choose-and-pay shopping experience. It was a lucky coincidence that I got my hands on these. Last year I did an interview for a Polish sneaker website, talking about vintage sneakers.
I mentioned a few models that I was still hunting for and the Air Pressure happened to be on the list. A few months later I was visiting my SneakerTV friends at Solemart Berlin, when an unknown hand tapped me on my shoulder… ‘Excuse me, but aren’t you the Sneakerqueen? I read your interview, and saw that you were still looking for a pair of Nike Air Pressure. I have a pair to offer’. He was a Polish B-Boy who was mostly into old Jordans and vintage basketball sneakers, so it wasn’t hard to strike up a conversation.
We exchanged emails, and I was incapable of thinking of anything else than the possible deal we were going to make. After a few emails it was a done deal and here they are. Another gem added to my archive.
