2008 - BEST OF THE BEST SNEAKERS
The best shoe of 2008 was a hard task for me, especially with some of the shoes we collaborated on with Solebox. But in the end, the decision was not that hard. Not only the shoes, the whole release and pre-teasing of the Blaze of Glory Shark Edition from Sneaker Freaker was the best in 2008!
I loved the whole story and concept behind the Blaze of Glory Shark Edition. And I am not bootlicking here. I see it maybe from a different view, but if you imagine how much love and time people behind the scenes invest in shoes sometimes (not every time), then you will understand it. I loved the release, the competition, the videos and the product. This release raised the bar high for future PUMA releases. I am sure many products on the shelves have interesting stories to tell, but for 2008 it was for me the most interesting story and the execution was a hit, right on the bullseye! Bravo to Sneaker Freaker and bravo to Puma! We want to see more for 2009.
