2008 - BEST OF THE BEST SNEAKERS
Two thousand and great has been one of the best years for sneaker releases and more importantly, for me! Let’s not front, when I talk sneakers, I am talking about an extension of my heart that sometimes skips a beat, but rarely gains enough momentum to break out a sweat... Enter the adidas aZX Footpatrol! Someone pass me the defibrillator!
All the hype in the world could not have done these blueberries justice until they were rocked in just the right amount of Aussie sunlight, blinding unsuspecting street trawlers as I jived past. The combination of 3M, banana yellow and lavender-like purps, married with an exploding tongue and Footpatrol lacelock had my wallet under cardiac arrest but my triple bypass booked, hooked and cooked. Taking it back to where my love of sneakers was born, the Three Stripes have tied a bow on perhaps the greatest gift that eBay could have sent me. What a perfect way to see a perfect sneaker spot put to rest.
RIP Footpatrol.
