THE ART OF BASKETBALL

Last month Miami hosted an exclusive exhibition, The Art Of Basketball, showcasing portraits of basketball icons plus pieces inspired by the culture that has seen the sport wow fans the world over. We asked our good mate and MIA resident Sneaker Box Clyde from Inside The Sneaker Box to roll deep with his camera and crew to document the night for us.

As Clyde states 'The Art of Basketball Miami event was one of my favourite events of the weekend. Billi Kid, James and Karla Murray did an excellent job curating this space. Featuring original work from Ahol Sniffs Glue, Atomik & Sand One, Billi Kid, Blanco, Celso, Cern, Chillski, Chris Stain, Cope2, Crome, Daniel Fila, Dash, David Cooper, Ewok One 5MH, Gaia, James and Karla Murray, Joe Iurato, J. Robles, Junk, Miguel Paredes, NohJColey, Peru Ana Ana Peru, Sero, Skewville, Shiro, Sofia Maldonado, The Dude Company and so many other talented artists, this was the place to be whether you're a fan of the game or not. Free drinks, free food, and tons of art. What more could you ask for! The gallery featured approximately 50 or so custom/hand painted backboards; and about 25 custom drawn/painted basketballs. The most noticeable piece of the night was this enormous Shaq tribute; made completely out of tupperware. Enjoy the pics.'
