This past Easter sunday, Sneaker Freaker took over the Rose Street Artist Markets and played host to the second installment of The World’s Greatest Swapmeet (see part one here!). Stall after stall was filled to the brim with tasty sneakers, street clothing, original print vinyl, BMX paraphernalia, vintage sunglasses and beyond - with some trash and treasure thrown in the mix! Taking it back to the days when hunting for that holy grail meant getting out and about and rubbing leather with other like-minded heads, the perfect weather brought out the best that Melbourne had to offer. The six-hour event was jam packed with live B-boy battles, cuts by famed local spinster DJ Peril, live graf art and enough rare kicks to make an eBay powerseller envious. Special thanks to Hans DC for all his efforts in putting this fantastic event together and in case you couldn’t make it, don’t fret, we’ve got all the pics plus this excellent YouTube clip, thanks to JONTY which captures the ambiance of the day perfectly.
