Twenty-six years ago, Nike revolutionised the way people perceived cushioning in footwear by making it visible in the Air Max 1. Though born on American shores for runners, the technology soon spread the world over and became a sporting and style icon.  Inspired by the enduring impact that the Max series has made on music and fashion culture in Europe, Nike have created this all-encompassing European Cities Pack, dedicating a spread of silhouettes to a trio of Euro cities – London, Milan and Paris.

For the English capital, Nike took inspiration from the grit of old London and set it against the vibrancy of their public transport system. The models include a Nike Air Max 1 HYP, Nike Air Max 90 HYP, Nike Air Max 1 2013 and the Nike Air Max 95.

Over in the Milan pack, a collective of Air Maxs are treated to a spectrum of neon pops offset against muted uppers, which contrasts the energy of the Milan fashion and art scenes with the city’s storied architecture. Silhouettes include the Air Max 97 2013, Air Max 1, Air Max 97 and Air Max 90.

Finally, the Parisian portion of this bubblicious bundle comprises a quartet of refined Max renditions, featuring subtle style touches including waxed laces and washed-out accents that personify French style. The patriotic-coloured collection includes an Air Max Classic BW, Air Max 90, Air Max 2013 and an Air Max 1 HYP.

2013 is certainly looking like the year of the AM with wave after wave of freshness lapping into stores. The Nike Air Max Hometurf Series will release at select NSW accounts on February 15 and will see a general release on March 27.
