CREPE CITY LONDON RECAP!

If you love Jordans, Dunks, BAPES and custom Air Max, the second edition of London's premier Sneaker Festival, CREPE CITY would have been well worth the plane ticket! With over 20 stalls selling rare and exclusive trainers and apparel, the day long event also featured the WAH Nails, an exclusive TRAPSTAR clothing drop and some of London's top collectors offering an insight into the contents of their closely guarded closets, many of which hadn't seen the light of day for years!

KEITH HUFNAGEL INTERVIEW

Keith Hufnagel is a veteran of the skate and shoe game. Having established his own HUF stores in San Francisco, Hufnagel then created colabs with some of the biggest names in the sneaker game, none of which need any introduction to our readers! Soon afterwards he began his own cut-and-sew label which has done quite nicely indeed. With his long-time connection with DVS, many were surprised at his recent decision to diversify yet again and launch his own range of HUF skate shoes. We caught up with the man himself for the inside word on his new collection and to hear the latest from the house of HUF!

DR ZULU - THE SOUTH AFRICAN SNEAKER DOC!

We're all about exposing sneaker culture on a global scale, so when we got a prescription from South Africa's DR. ZVLV, we knew we needed to be innoculated! After doing his rounds on tour with Peter Fahey's Sneaker Pimps, graff artist/designer Dr ZVLV opened the country's first ever sneaker spot, Shelflife. A concoction of streetwear, sneakers and graff product, the store has become a centre of education for the flourishing South African scene. And thanks to a recent jackpot won from a local warehouse, Shelflife is now the proud owner of an incredible inventory of vintage sneakers. We caught up with Dr Z. for a quick chat and to get the lowdown on his score of scores!

GENTRY HUMPHREY IS MR JORDAN BRAND!

When you think of Jordan Brand there is only one eponymous man that comes to mind. But what about the players behind the scenes - the ones that have kept the Jumpman franchise bubbling like a Berocca since 1985? Introducing Gentry Humphrey, Jordan Brand's General Manager and undisputed king of the hill. Gentry is no overnight rising star. He has been holding down the Jordan fort for the last 18 years, making and breaking deals, all to create the most sought after sneakers on the block. When he's not jet-setting to catch a game of hoops, he's the go-to-man when it comes to getting the dirt on Jordan sneakers. We sent along our main man X-Drift, Melbourne's certified Jordan junkie, to hit Gentry with the all questions you'd ever want answered!

DABS AND MYLA INTERVIEW

Fuelled by paint fumes and a harmonious work ethic, Melbourne-born graffiti artists and lovers Dabs and Myla have teamed up to create an unstoppable force. Never a pair to knock heads when it comes to collaborating, this duo have packed their swag for the big smoke in ’09, relocating to the land of Disney, L.A. With year-round passes to the theme park strapped to their belts, the whole world is about to become their playground. Having recently worked alongside Fila and Teen Vogue (literally two days after landing in L.A.) the creators of Melbourne’s Per Square Metre Gallery are about to takeover on a worldwide scale. We caught up with the perky pair to chew the fat and find out just how they stand working together ten hours a day, every day!

Having made a major name for himself as London's premier hip hop and soul DJ, the good doctor soon found himself hooked onto a new drug sweeping the town - overdosing on ‘trainers by the truckload, trainers by the tonne'. With a killer collection of eclectic brands, we needed to find out just what makes this doctor tick, so we threw down some hard hitting questions...

CONVERSE 1HUND[RED] LAUNCH (LONDON)

As ever, Size? held it down for the official sneaker-heads in London town this week, with the unveiling of the latest round of Converse product, the 1HUND[RED] series, with the event taking place at the stand-alone store located in ubiquitously fashionable Carnaby Street. The 1HUND[RED] series isnt just a series of shoes, it's an 'economic initiative' [but not a charity or 'campaign'], that links businesses, with proceeds supporting a global fund. It was set-up by world famous musician Bono and philanthropist Bobby Shriver in 2002, and brands already involved include Apple, Gap and AMEX, so you may have already donated unknowingly.
