Fake shoes are a much larger problem than we had first thought. The new fake shoes coming from Asia are very close reproductions in looks but not in physical attributes. I will have a new article posted soon about this serious scam and what shoe manufactures are doing to stop these con artists.

So you found a website with a full size run of your favorite shoes and you are wondering if they are fake or not. There are some tell tale signs you can learn from this section to help protect yourself from being taken. kicks site is unique because They do offer full size runs in older or hard to find shoes so we get the question all the time like "Are these shoes real?" or "How can you have this many old shoes?" On Kicks site every pair of shoes is authentic which is their true claim to fame and one reason for their success.
But there are a myriad of other sites just waiting to take your money. Most of these sites won't even send you the shoes, they'll take your money and then mysteriously their website is a ghost town. And if you are lucky enough to receive the shoes you are going to be seriously disappointed. Although the looks of some fake shoes is getting better the quality remains the same which is horrendous. Beauty is only skin deep can be applied here.
How can you protect yourself on the Internet? First off if anyone has a full size run of any older pair of shoes and is selling them for a fraction of the market value.... be wary. And if you see an eBay auction for some shoes that seem to good to be true... I know... there are some awesome deals on eBay but but there are also more fake shoes on eBay than real ones.
Why do we care? We care because not only are people getting sub-par quality shoes but in a lot of cases people are just getting taken for their money and no shoes are sent. This hurts the online shoe community which is where we live. Plus it just isn't fair to the customer.
I hope you find your shoes there but if you don't and you venture out on the net at least take the time to educate yourself before you fall into the trap so many others have.
