Recently Foot Locker anointed Andrew Teague the winner of their 2012 Art Prize Anniversary Exhibition. 50 stand-out pieces from Foot Locker’s 2011 ‘World’s Richest Colouring Competition’ were posted online attracting over 6000 votes before Teague’s piece ‘Bare Bones’ was crowned the winner. His entry utilized the ’98 Air Max Plus template depicting the shoe in a skeletal state with a heart inside.

“It was all about taking running back to its natural state. Nike sneakers have so much amazing technology that goes into their make but I really wanted to strip that back and look at the sneaker as a basic primitive structure. It was about connecting the age old process of going for a run with the new technology and style that is available today”.
