The Latest HELEN KIRKUM x adidas Collection Is Imperfectly Perfect
British-based designer has forged quite the reputation in the sneakersphere through her eponymous label, thanks to her upcycled creations and wild collaborations. Her designs are usually one-of-kind, which is a major draw for many in today’s homogenised trend-driven landscape. Now, the award-winning designer is set to partner with again for a highly limited collection that’s launching very soon.
The models chosen for HELEN KIRKUM’s latest is the AVRYN and X_PLRBOOST, blessing the futuristic models with her signature deconstructed aesthetic. Made in part using recycled materials and stock fabric, each model has been finished with raw details and inside-out woven labels.
‘I was inspired by the way we move around urban environments constantly collecting subtle everyday mementos,’ Helen Kirkum stated in a press release. ‘From the scuffs and marks embedded into our shoes to the receipts and tickets that line our wallets. Each becomes a token added to the collage of our life.’
The HELEN KIRKUM x adidas collection is limited to only 3000 pairs and will come housed in a special box. You can cop through select stockists on May 3.
